WHY IS photo camp APPLICATION BASED?

A few reasons - because All Inclusive attendees will be staying in the same house, we want all attendees to feel like they are in a safe and trusted environment. We also have a desire for photographers from different backgrounds and skill levels to be able to come and create, and we want to make sure that our goals for the weekend align by looking at your application!

What will the speakers be teaching on?

We will touch on many different topics throughout photo camp including but not limited to social media, graduating senior photography, setting boundaries with your work, self portraits, branding yourself authentically, wedding photography, etc.

What will the styled shoots be?

For All Inclusive attendees, we will have a pre-camp video call for attendees to get to know one another. During that time, we will go over the styled shoots. Because we care about exposure to different niches, we will cover many genres with our photo shoots. This includes couples, bridal, fashion, and individual portraits.

Day pass attendees will be sent an email with mood boards for the shoots on the day they are attending.

What is the application process?

After applying, you will be sent a follow up email that either moves you further in our process or lets you know that we are not a good fit at this time to serve you. This could be for many reasons - lack of space, influx of applications, or difference in goals for the weekend. If you are accepted, you will be asked to secure your spot with a deposit within 48 hours. The deposit will be 20% of your total.

How will i pay?

Once you are accepted, we will send you a contract to sign and an invoice to pay your deposit. You can either pay your balance up front or pay on the 1st of every month until Photo Camp. Payments will be made online through HoneyBook.

I am under 18. Can I still apply?

Yes, definitely! If you are accepted, however, I will need to be in contact with a parent/guardian and have written permission from them along with your deposit before your spot is secured.

Are male photographers able to attend?

Yes, both male and female photographers are invited to apply to Photo Camp.

What airport do i fly into?

Charleston international. All shoots will be around Folly Beach and the Charleston area. If you are an All Inclusive attendee, the house will be on Folly Beach and is roughly 30-45 minutes from the airport depending on traffic.

Is transportation included?

Transportation is the only thing not included if you are an All Inclusive attendee. You can Uber or rent a car. If you would like to rent a car, we ask that you connect with other attendees to split your rental due to limited parking spaces.

IS THE BEACH HOUSE THE SAME AS THE LAST PHOTO CAMP?

No. To allow for more attendees, the luxury beach house is a different rental.

When do applications close and when will i know if i have been accepted?

For the next camp, applications will open on May 15 and close on June 15, 2024.

Everyone will hear back for sure by June 20th, but you could hear back earlier than that.
